The one everybody asks first
Does any of this cost money?
No. Somatic Heaven is free permanently. Not a free tier, not free-with-adverts, not free-until-we-grow. There is no subscription, no premium version, and it never asks for a card number.
There is a game underneath it with a currency of its own, and things in the game cost that currency, because an economy with no prices is not a game. None of it is ever bought with real money.
If something claiming to be us ever asks you for money, it is lying and it is not us. The only thing we sell is merchandise, and that is clearly a shop.
What all of this is
The basics
- What is the RyuuMaru Network?An independent studio in San Diego making games, cartoons, music and a monthly gaming news show. All one universe. Started in 2018 as a clothing brand.
- What is Somatic Heaven?Our own social site. No algorithm, no follower counts, no adverts, no direct messages, and an ending you can actually see. There is also a city underneath it you can walk around in if you want to.
- Who is Lyra?She hosts the Network. She is also a character who lives in the city, runs a radio station out of her flat, and has a cat called Orion.
- Who is Orion?The first one. He existed before the company did, and everything here was built around him.
- Where do I watch?The live channel runs 24/7 on Twitch and is embedded on our Watch page. Finished shows go up on YouTube too.
- Is there a Discord?Yes, and it is deliberately a signpost rather than a hangout. Channels are read only, there is no open chat, and we will never message you privately.
Age and content
Is this suitable for kids?
Yes. Everything we make is for all ages. Some of it is sad and some of it is dark, because we think children can handle sad and that pretending otherwise makes worse stories, but there is nothing explicit or cruel in any of it.
Somatic Heaven is different and we would rather say so. It is a social site, so other people write what is on it, and you have to be 13 or older to join. Everything we make for it is all ages and it has more safety rules built in than any site we know of, including no private messages at all, but a place with strangers in it can never be the same promise as a cartoon.
About the characters
Can I draw them?
For fun, on your own account, yes. Draw them, write them, animate them, post them where you like. We are not going to come after you for it.
We do not host fan work here. No gallery, no features, no submissions. Publishing other people's work next to ours muddies who owns what, and we would rather that line stayed clean for everybody's sake.
Ask first about selling merchandise with them on it, publishing them as your own, or putting them into a training dataset.
Privacy
Are you collecting anything about me?
On this website, nothing at all. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no third party fonts, and no JavaScript. You can check the page source yourself.
The one exception is the Twitch player on the Watch page, which belongs to Twitch and does its own thing. Somatic Heaven is a separate site with accounts, so it has its own policy.
