This isn't a statement of intent. Here is specifically what we do and how it's checked.
What's actually true
How this site is built
We aim at WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
- Contrast is measured, not guessedEvery text-and-background pair on this site is checked by a tool on every build. The tightest pair currently measures 7.76 to 1, against a 4.5 minimum.
- Reduced motion is obeyedIf your system asks for less motion, everything holds still. No exceptions for effects we happen to like.
- Nothing autoplaysNo video, no audio, no carousel. The Twitch player will not start until you press it.
- Keyboard firstEvery link is reachable by keyboard with a visible focus ring, and a skip link jumps you past the navigation.
- Real headings and landmarksOne h1 per page, headings in order, real nav, main and footer regions. Screen readers get a structure, not a wall.
- Every image has alt textDecorative ones are marked as decorative deliberately, so they're skipped instead of announced.
- No JavaScript requiredThere is none. The site cannot break because a script failed, and it works on slow connections and old browsers.
- Text resizesZoom to 200% and the layout reflows rather than breaking.
Where we know we fall short
The honest list
An accessibility page that claims everything is perfect isn't a statement, it's marketing.
The Twitch player on /watch/ is Twitch's, not ours. Its controls, captions and keyboard behaviour are outside our control. If it's a barrier for you, the same stream is on twitch.tv directly, where you can use their own settings.
Automated checks catch maybe a third of real problems. Ours are green, and that is not the same as ours being right. Which is why the next bit matters more than any of the above.

You do not need to be polite about it. You do not need to explain your disability. Just tell us what broke.
